When I got started online, I consulted a web designer. She told me the cost for a tiny, 5-page website would be $500. Since I didn’t know anything about web design, I would also need her help to update my site monthly. This would be a $100 minimum fee.
I knew I couldn’t afford that, so I thanked her for the quotes then ended the conversation.
That’s how I got started learning HTML. I knew if I wanted to run my online business, I had to find a way to handle the tech myself.
I created my own website shortly after that. It was ugly but it was mine. I had trouble keeping the site updated because every time I wanted to change one thing, I had to edit the entire site, a process that could easily take hours (not fun!).
About a year later, I discovered WordPress. I created my website again. This time I was happy because tweaking my site took just minutes to do.
Not long after that I started making WordPress websites for other people. I charged my clients on a sliding scale so even those with a tiny budget could have beautiful websites. My clients were happy and I was making a nice profit.
Even now, when people ask me how to get started making money online, I suggest learning to use WordPress and creating websites for others. That’s why I was so excited to see Angela Wills put her Teach WordPress course on sale (it shows on the sales page as $197 but you’ll actually pay $47).
She shows you step-by-step how to build websites, how to attract paying clients, and how to create WordPress packages that your customers will love.
To create WordPress websites:
- You don’t have to be all that “techy” (I wasn’t).
- You don’t have to be super smart (I’m not).
- You don’t need to be experienced with WordPress (I wasn’t).
- You don’t have to know everything about WordPress (I didn’t).
This is a fantastic course for business coaches or virtual assistants looking to add an extra branch to their business. Or if you have no business experience, you can use this course as a launchpad to help you get started….
If you’ve never used WordPress, then I recommend grabbing Angela’s WordPress Website Bootcamp (also on sale for $47). Between the two courses, you’ll get enough support and guidance to launch your own WordPress based business.
Let me tell you from experience—when you can create websites in just a few clicks, people treat you like a rockstar and they’re HAPPY to pay you.
It’s a great gig,
PS: Angela is retiring the Teach WordPress course after this sale. So if you want it, grab it now (the price is listed at $197 but it’s really $47).
